Prayers answered with more comfort, lower running costs
Churches are traditionally difficult to heat. Gas fired radiant plaque heaters had often been used, which are not only costly to run but also cause one of the most common problems - dampness. This can lead to other major problems. The heat is needed most at ground level and so the engineers at The Green House decided to go for the Henco under floor heating system and two Dimplex LA28AS Air-to-Water heat Pumps. Although the heat pumps can heat water up to 60ºC, here they were installed for the heating load only and will provide water at 40/45ºC. They will operate at about 380% efficiency throughout the Irish Heating season and so lead to reduced running costs. The Dimplex Air-to Water heat pumps can operate in temperatures as low as -25ºC and are available in a range from 7kW to 60kW. |
